+ CHARACTER
Graceful like an egret dancing on the water, warm like the sunshine touching the peak of the worldâwere the qualities which made the very being of one Miyagawa Sagiri. Just like the hue of her silky strands, she possessed a heart of gold. A polite and amicable damsel, her kindness knows no bounds. As soft as her disposition was, our golden lass was never fragile. She is a young woman of strong will and determination, ready to bare her fangs and fight tooth and nail to protect her dearest one. This led her to keep an everlasting tough front, believing she could not protect anyone she cared about if she showed any hints of vulnerability, which prompted her to be secretive and wary of anyone other than her brother and teacher.Whilst she rarely displays any signs of aggression, you would not want to threaten to hurt her twin brotherâlest her blade would go straight through your heart. Despite her amiableness, Sagiri has no qualms about divulging lies when necessary.Being the mortal vessel of a God, while her relationship with the God residing inside her bodyâSuijin, was largely transactional, the two seemed to show mutual care for each other.

Two souls were brought into this world together on the day of Tanabata. The House of Miyagawa was blessed with the birth of twins: Satoshi, the elder brother, and Sagiri, the younger sister. House Miyagawa was a family of nihontĆ artisans dating from ancient times residing in EinlibertĂ©, passing down the title from generation to generation to craft high-quality blades, their most sought-after creations were their katanas.Even though their arrival in this world might sound joyful, what was seen on the surface was not as pretty as in the depth. The patriarch of House Miyagawa was an overly strict and bitter man who valued only the presence of a son as his heir, completely favouring Satoshi and neglecting Sagiri; and even then, he placed his expectations on his son too high to take up the torch of swordsmithing.Meanwhile, their mother remained distant from the two children as she only married their father out of the conveniences of an arranged union without genuine loveâž»which extended to the twins.Despite these predicaments, Sagiri and Satoshi found solace in each other and their one caretaker since the twins were only infants. This world might not be too gentle with them, but as long as they were together, everything would be just fine.... though, those days of idleness had to meet their abrupt end.Irregular attacks were spreading like wildfire in EinlibertĂ© and the residence of House Miyagawa was not safe from this. The Miyagawa twins were only three and ten when their father caught an Irregular infection from an attack, slaughtering everyone in their abode, including his wife.Only Sagiri and Satoshi survived, but as if the world was not yet satisfied with their torture of the twins, Satoshi was also infected from being wounded by their fatherâž»yet only by his willpower alone that he resist being transformed completely, ending up becoming a Half-Irregular instead. With only a little money and their family heirloom: a katana meant to be wielded by the family heir, Sagiri and Satoshi escaped their home and EinlibertĂ©.

Satoshi's transformation not only affected his physical appearance but also his mental state. Aside from the growing single horn on his head and fangs, his actions were rendered akin to that of a child, only capable of simple, if not limited speech; yet despite that, his affection for Sagiri persisted. The twins learned the harsh way about people's fear of anything branded as 'Irregulars.' People hunted them like animals the moment they saw the sprouting horn on Satoshi's headâwhether to kill him or capture and hand him to the scientists in their birthland, EinlibertĂ©. The twins had to run away from place to place, from time to time.Everything took a turn to the worst one day. They were chased and cornered into an abandoned shrine, tattered and ragged with Satoshi gravely injured from having to fight a band of three adults to protect his sister and himself. And her?She was scared. She was so scared for her life, and yet ...She was more scared of losing her brother, her only family left after all the calamities befell upon them. Thus, Sagiri brandished their family heirloom katana and stained her hands with the blood of the filthy for the first time, at such a budding age.Unbeknownst to her, her act of braveryâor perhaps desperation attracted something else nearby ... an uninvited force awakened from his slumber, an ancient deity dwelling in the shrine. He introduced himself as Suijin, the God of Water. He was impressed by such an act done by just a puny human, thus He offered a deal to Sagiri: He would grace her His power and a portion of His authorities by becoming his mortal vessel to navigate this world.Sagiri knew she needed strength to protect her brother, and without question, she accepted the deal. She became Suijin's mortal vessel and carried on her journey of hiding with her brother.Fate finally brought her to the land of Pistis, where the siblings took permanent residence. At some point, Sagiri also found a swordmaster who was kind enough to take the twins to live under his care despite knowing Satoshi is a half-irregular and taught her all about mastering the art of using katana; thus, the siblings began their new life whilst hiding Satoshi's true identity.

+ prowess
Since the attack on her home and the irregular infection of her twin brother, Sagiri was obliged to learn self-defence from a very young age to fend off herself and her brother from the harshness of their travel throughout the continent to look for somewhere safe. She is proficient in kenjutsu, wielding her family heirloom katana that was meant to be her brother's possession, at least until the attack of irregular against her family. As the mortal vessel for the Water God SUIJIN, Sagiri was blessed to harness the strength of commanding the element of water. She can create, shape, and manipulate water; including changing it from one state to another and turning it into different forms and objects of varying detail and permanence.Another might she possesses is to call forth and control storms, rain and waves of her will; though using her prowess for this purpose requires so much strength that would leave her weak and fatigued thereafter.Suijin's gift also allows Sagiri to breathe underwater, walk on water surfaces and keel herself dry despite being doused by water.Despite possessing Suijin's prowess, Sagiri does not have his complete authority due to only being a mortal vessel, unless she swaps consciousness with Suijin and lets Him have control over her body and use his full might. Yet, by doing this, her strength and consciousness would only be able to recover after a day.
MIYAGAWA SATOSHI
The other half of her soul â Sagiri's older fraternal twin brother who is a half-irregular; someone she held dearest amidst their curses and struggles. Sagiri is fiercely protective of him, and anyone taking her brother away from her would meet the end of her blade. He has to always wear a hood to hide his horn whenever the twins go out of the shelter of their home.

+ bonds
Daifuku mochi is her favorite snack.

She is fond of being with children, thus the reason behind her occupation as an orphanage caretaker.
